About Us

Our Story

Don and Lois opened Jones Appliance in 1982 and began their business by renting a building in downtown Iowa Falls. They started in an 1,800 sq. ft. building which housed all of their sales, service, and warehouse needs. To launch their business successfully, they focused on sales during the business day and made deliveries and went on service calls in the evenings and on weekends.

In 1994, after completing college, their son, David, joined the family business full time. Seeing a growing need in their community, they added TVs and electronics to their growing list of products and services. With the successful launch of their new electronics department, they formally changed the name of the business to Jones Appliance and TV.

Due to their expanding inventory and service needs, Don and Lois decided it was time to expand and renovate their sales floor and warehouse area. After careful planning and preparation, in 2004 they remodeled their entire store. From a modest start in an 1,800 sq. ft. space with only Don and Lois as the employees, the business had now grown to fill a 13,000 sq. ft. building.

In 2025 after recognizing a need in their community, they decided to expand into the furniture industry with the addition of their second location Jones Furniture & Mattress located at 644 South Oak in Iowa Falls. This location specializes in Furniture and Mattresses and with a 10,000 square foot showroom allows them to offer an even bigger selection of Mattresses as well as new offering in living room, bedroom, kitchen, and outdoor furniture.
